GISed's Objective
GISed is committed to providing educators and students at all levels with GIS projects, support and professional development. Our goal is to provide the required support in spatial technologies, so educators can concentrate on their job of teaching while providing teachers and their students with high quality, easy to use projects that are relevant to Geography, History, SOSE and Science. Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) including spatial technologies are now an integral part of many syllabus in Australian states. GISed has the technical understanding and teaching experience to support the inclusion of these new technologies easily and seamlessly into the curriculum of schools.
Organisation Purpose
GISed has extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems as well as experience with GPS and remote sensing. Teachers are often time poor and these lessons and assessment pieces provide them with the next step from great resources like "Mapping our World" but with an Australian and global curriculum focus. GISed continue to provide innovative lessons, projects and assessment pieces using current, relevant data sources. The company also provides software tips and support to make the use of these technologies more attainable for educators.
